North Mississippi Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse for weekend shifts to deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process with strong teamwork and documentation. The role emphasizes leadership in prioritizing, delegating and evaluating tasks while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The RN will educate patients and families, participate in preceptor training, attend daily huddles, and collaborate with physicians, staff and educators to ensure optimal care and patient

Qualifications

• Uses the nursing process to provide safe, quality patient care and document accordingly.
• Maintains competency by staying informed of changing trends in the nursing practice.
• Must maintain department requirements for continuing education and any specific unit requirements to provide appropriate age specific care

• Provide safe, quality patient care using the nursing process and document accordingly.
• Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
• Attend daily huddles on each unit to ensure proper assignments and identify team members for the shift.
• Educate patients and families and participate in training of new staff.
• Comply with regulatory and accrediting standards and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Orient new employees to the unit and report progress to charge nurse or nurse manager.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to all customers/co-workers and in all aspects of patient care.
