Job summary

Capitol Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Supervisor for a per diem weekend shift. The role provides clinical leadership, oversees nursing staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes high-quality resident care in a 138-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility.

The ideal candidate holds a PA RN license with valid BLS CPR, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and strong communication skills to collaborate with physicians, staff, residents, and families.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Valid BLS (CPR) certification.
• Minimum 2+ years nursing experience in healthcare.
• No prior supervisory experience required; training provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.
• Solid knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
