The ideal candidate will hold an active MA RN license, possess at least 1 year of SNF nursing experience, and demonstrate excellent communication skills and knowledge of relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered, active RN license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed nurse in a skilled nursing facility.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulations pertaining to nursing care facilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, evaluate, and supervise resident care, initiating corrective action as necessary.
• Make resident rounds with a report to the Director of Nursing Service.
• Conduct quality assurance and continuous quality improvement monitoring.
• Establish open lines of communication between nursing personnel, following up as necessary.
• Counsel and discipline nursing personnel and recommend actions to the DON as needed.
• Review residents' orders against their plans of care to ensure proper implementation.
• Perform basic nursing skills with knowledge and competence.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
