Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Virginia is seeking a part-time Facility Nursing House Supervisor for weekend shifts (24 hours per week). You will oversee nursing units in the absence of nurse managers, ensure safe and continuous patient care, and collaborate with ROC and leadership to optimize staffing and resources.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS, and 2 years of nursing experience with leadership exposure. Competitive benefits and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where practicing (or Compact State)
• BLS Basic Life Support required; PALS/ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in leadership/charge nurse role preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise hospital personnel to maintain safe, efficient patient care.
• Assign patient care based on staff ability and patient needs.
• Evaluate care and provide feedback and adjustments as needed.
• Monitor unit conditions, patient census, and acuity; coordinate with ROC for assignments.
• Respond to emergencies and direct staff as required.
• Escalate issues through the chain of command promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and adherence to standards.
