Job summary

Willow Branch in McMinnville, TN, is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead the nursing service department and support the Director of Nursing. The role emphasizes weekend staffing, policy development, and coordination of care in a welcoming facility.

You will supervise scheduling, ensure licensed staff deliver appropriate care, and lead in-service training while maintaining regulatory compliance and resident-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in good standing with the State.
• Experience as a Charge Nurse or in supervisory roles preferred.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families.
• Capable of supervising staff in day-to-day operations.
• Must maintain regular weekend attendance.
• Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in a Long Term Care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Director of Nursing with planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing service department in accordance with current rules and guidelines.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures governing day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Determine staffing needs of the nursing service department to meet residents’ needs.
• Supervise and assist scheduling of employees within state guidelines.
• Ensure direct nursing care is provided by licensed staff or aides as applicable.
• Review nurses’ notes for accuracy and resident response to care.
• Incorporate training materials into in-service programs as needed.
• Provide leadership in setting goals for in-service educational programs.
