Job summary

River View on the Appomattox is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for our long-term care facility in Virginia. The role provides clinical support to licensed nurses and CNAs, coordinates disease-specific education, and leads in-service training for clinical staff.

The RN Supervisor will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with physicians, labs, and pharmacies to ensure safe, timely care.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• Two years of nursing management in acute/post-acute or urgent care, preferred.
• CPR Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
• Maintains effective relationships with physicians, labs, and pharmacies.
• Directs patient care delivery and documents interventions.
• Reviews orders and lab/pharmacy reports; follows up on changes.
• Performs patient assessments and plans care as needed.
• Completes incident reports and participates in clinical rounds.
