Alexandria Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor for part-time shifts in Virginia. The role focuses on nursing leadership, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with care plans during weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, monitoring residents, and maintaining high-quality, safe care. A current VA RN license and BLS CPR are required, with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in VA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
