Job summary

Touchstone Communities seeks an RN Supervisor to lead weekend nursing teams at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville, TX. You will ensure resident-centered care, mentor LVNs and CNAs, and uphold regulatory compliance while delivering compassionate service to veterans.

The ideal candidate brings Texas RN licensure, strong clinical judgment, and proven leadership. You’ll cultivate a supportive, engaged workplace and coordinate with interdisciplinary staff to promote quality

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or Compact license.
• Minimum 2 years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate resident conditions, responding promptly to clinical concerns and changes in condition.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for LVNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident wellbeing and positive clinical outcomes.
• Assist with staffing coordination, clinical oversight, and shift operations.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and fellow team members through the Touchstone Experience.
