Job summary

Bear Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking aRegistered Nurse (RN) to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during the shift, ensuring high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes leadership of the nursing team, adherence to policy, and coordination with administration.

The incumbent will assist in directing nursing functions, maintain current reference materials and procedures, and participate in quality assurance and discharge planning activities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Current CPR certification.
• 2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the tour of duty.
• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Ensure reference materials (e.g., PDRs, regulations, professional standards) are current at the nurses’ stations.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure compliance by staff.
• Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program and in surveys by government agencies.
