Job summary

Frederick Living is seeking an RN Weekend Supervisor to lead nursing staff during weekend shifts. The role runs 7:00pm–7:00am on Saturdays and Sundays, with experience-based pay starting at $41.00/hr plus shift differential.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Pennsylvania, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable coaching staff and coordinating resident care. This weekend-only position includes full Frederick Living benefits and a commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN license in PA is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to role model professional appearance and demeanor.
• Demonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence.
• Commitment to person-centered care initiatives.
• Conflict resolution skills and ability to coach and support staff.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work extra hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor or physician/physician extender.
• Communicate with Supervisor, DON, NHA, care providers, and family/POA as needed.
• Use evidence-based practices to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery.
• Assist in managing personnel through performance evaluation, Care Chats, coaching, counseling, education, and corrective action as needed.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in resident transitions of care, care conferences, and care plan reviews.
• Collaborate with Cedarwood staff to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Comply with Infection Control practices.
• Ensure hand-held communication equipment is maintained for effective call bell management and team communication.
• Attend and complete all required in-services, training, and team meetings.
• Abide by the organization’s code of conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
