Job summary

Kettering Health Network in the Greater Dayton area is seeking a Registered Nurse for weekend shifts. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the health care team, ensuring safe, high-quality patient outcomes and acting as a patient advocate within our care delivery system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BSN preferred (completed within 5 years)
• Ohio RN licensure required
• BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS as unit scope requires

Responsibilities

• Respond to coaching to correct risky behaviors and apply learning
• Assess patient needs and priorities using nursing process
• Analyze data to identify age-specific patient problems
• Develop and implement care plans
• Deliver interventions to provide safe, quality care
• Document patient care and responses in EMR
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Recognize and respond to emergencies
• Reconcile and verify medications with patients
• Delegate appropriately based on patient care plan
• Maintain safety and adherence to core measures
