Job summary

Genesis in West Virginia is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to lead weekend operations and ensure exemplary patient care. You will report to the Director of Nursing and serve as the clinical and operational liaison between units while maintaining 24-hour accountability.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing weekend staffing and performance, and stepping in for the DON as needed, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• A current license by the State Board of Nursing is required.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience is required and a minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safe patient care.
• Must provide verification of TST as required by state law and company policy.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend clinical operations with 24-hour accountability and supervise nursing staff.
• Serve as the clinical and operational liaison between units and the DON.
• Mentor and guide nursing staff; ensure effective shift communication.
• In the DON's absence, assume duties and provide hands-on clinical support.
• Promote culture of safety, quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
