Job summary

Wynwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in New Jersey is seeking a nursing leader to direct the day-to-day functions of CNAs and nursing staff, ensuring care excellence and regulatory compliance.

You will review policies, discipline staff when needed, coordinate with other resident services, and contribute to discharge planning and QA activities, while guiding the nursing team toward high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered NJ nursing license.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge to provide care appropriate to age-related needs.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to relate to residents, families, staff and agencies.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.
• Ability to plan, organize, and interpret programs and policies.
• Patience, tact and a cheerful disposition.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day function of CNAs or other nursing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with written policies and Center procedures.
• Review and update department policies, manuals, and job descriptions.
• Provide discipline and evaluations of nursing personnel.
• Issue verbal and written disciplinary warnings as needed.
• Plan shifts’ services, programs, and activities.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure adherence.
• Prepare reports and coordinate with resident services to ensure total care.
• Assist in discharge planning and update resident discharge plans.
• Coordinate with government agencies during surveys or inspections.
• Participate in QA activities and performance evaluations.
