Job summary

Baptist Medical Center East is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for weekend coverage in the L&D/Days Ante area. The RN will supervise nursing staff on shift, coordinate patient care, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a nursing degree, active RN licensure, and BLS, with ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC potentially required depending on assignment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC may be required depending on area assigned.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Use the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in care planning and implementation.
• Ensure quality and continuity of patient care across shifts and units.
• Fulfilling additional duties within scope of role as assigned.
