Highland Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Assessment Specialist (RN) to join our weekend coverage team. The role focuses on coordinating face-to-face, phone, or tele-assessments and triaging safety risks within a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Ohio RN license.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Experience in psychiatric health care facility preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Schedule face-to-face, phone, or tele-assessments.
• Triage individuals based on safety risk.
• Assess with a qualified mental health professional and screen for emergencies.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to meet treatment needs.
• Explain treatments to patients and families to reduce fear.
• Provide direct nursing care to ill or injured patients.
