Qualifications

One year of food and beverage experience preferred.
Prior guest relations training.
Knowledge of proper food handling and safety.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Punctuality and reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests warmly.
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
Prepare dining tables for service, lay out napkins and utensils, keep condiments refilled.
Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
Know current menu choices, specialties and deviations.
Handle table assignments, seat guests, suggest items, communicate needs to cooks.
Ensure a memorable dining experience.
Open and pour wine tableside.
Record revenue and accept payments (cash, card, direct billing).
Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by management.
Assist with special events when needed.
Answer telephone with proper etiquette.
Develop positive working relationships with co-workers.
