Job summary
Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our weekend package team. This full-time role focuses on weekend coverage Friday through Sunday with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive pay.
You will perform assessments, ventilator management, Trach care, and develop care plans while collaborating with physicians and nursing staff. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
- CoARC‑accredited respiratory therapy program degree required.
- State licensure as Iowa Respiratory Therapist or eligible.
- Credentials: CRT, RRT, CRTT, or CCT.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- New graduates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments.
- Ventilator management and monitoring.
- Provide tracheostomy care.
- Administer respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor residents' respiratory status and modify treatments as appropriate.
- Educate residents, families, and staff regarding respiratory care.
