Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Roslyn Heights, NY is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The RT will evaluate and treat patients independently, perform bedside procedures, and contribute to resident well‑being in a skilled nursing setting.

The role requires a COARC-accredited AS/BS in Respiratory, NY licensure as RRT or CRT, and BLS. Weekend coverage is needed (Saturdays and Sundays), with 4–8 hour shifts, and salary ranges between $45

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients with various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and provide nursing staff in-services quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation; participate in IDT meetings.
• Track, audit and manage caseload; follow facility procedures.
