Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for our skilled nursing team. The ideal candidate holds a state license (RRT or CRT) and has a passion for geriatric care, with ability to evaluate and treat residents independently.

The responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, bedside treatments, and thorough documentation. Weekend coverage is required (Saturday and Sunday, 4–8 hours), with hourly pay between $45 and $55.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Track, audit and manage caseload; perform related duties as required.
