Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to serve a geriatric population in a skilled nursing setting. The RT must hold an active license (RRT/CRT) and BLS, and be capable of independent evaluation and treatment.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, documenting care, and participating in IDT meetings. Weekend coverage is required, with 4-8 hour shifts per weekend day.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in state of practice as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete respiratory assessments and therapies for geriatric patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and routine nursing in-services.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation and audits.
• Attend IDT meetings and manage caseload; experience with tracheotomy.
