Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The RT will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, maintain records, and operate respiratory equipment in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualified candidates hold a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy and active licensure as an RRT or CRT, with BLS certification. Weekend coverage is required, with 4–8 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• BLS certification mandatory.
• Graduate of COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program (AS or BS).
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement respiratory therapy for residents with various conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and participate in staff in-services quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation of activities.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in caseload management.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting.
