Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team. The RT must be licensed in the state, able to evaluate and treat independently, and comfortable providing bedside respiratory care and therapies.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, documenting, and participating in IDT meetings; experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory therapies and techniques.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and deliver in-services for nursing staff.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility procedures.
• Perform tracking, auditing and caseload management.
