Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC in Miami, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will perform assessments, initiate therapies, and manage bedside treatments to aid geriatric residents.

The ideal candidate is licensed as an RRT or CRT in the practice state, able to work independently, and dedicated to improving residents' rehab outcomes. Daily pay options are available within a supportive facility network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and implement therapies to progress rehab in geriatric residents.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments: oxygen therapy, oxygen weaning, aerosol therapy, PEP, deep breathing, airway management, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, tracheostomy care, pulmonary function testing, and walk tests.
• Attend IDT meetings and complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Oxygen weaning
  • Aerosol therapy
  • PEP therapy
  • Deep breathing and coughing
  • Respiratory muscle training
  • Incentive Spirometry
  • Chest physiotherapy
  • Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning
  • Tracheo-bronchial suctioning and tracheostomy care

  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • High-flow oxygen
  • 6- and 2-minute walk testing
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
