Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat geriatric residents with various respiratory conditions, perform bedside therapies, and maintain accurate patient records with independent practice.

The candidate should hold a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, be licensed as RRT or CRT in the state, and have BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in the state of practice as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehabilitation.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Deliver bedside treatments and conduct in-services for nursing staff.
• Attend IDT meetings; manage daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Experience with tracheostomy; long-term care experience.
• Perform tracking, auditing and caseload management.
