Job summary

Accolade Healthcare in Peoria Heights, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist for weekends only. The role requires CRT or RRT credentials and an Illinois license, CPR certification, and preferred ACLS.

Experience in Long Term Care or Home Health/LTACH is a plus, with duties spanning evaluation, treatment, and education. The Respiratory Therapist will work independently within a multidisciplinary team, promoting patient health and reducing readmissions while ensuring safe use of respiratory equipment

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials.
• Active license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Experience in Home Health or LTACH is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation and assessment.
• Maintain and evaluate medical records related to respiratory care.
• Administer treatments to maintain or improve residents respiratory function.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen and trachs as appropriate.
• Operate respiratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to reduce avoidable readmissions.
• Educate residents and caregivers on respiratory care and health maintenance.
• Provide staff education and maintain respiratory supply stock.
