Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' Southeast Campus in Plymouth, MA, seeks Weekend Residential Counselors to support youth who have experienced trauma in a residential setting. You will work weekend hours, participate in de-escalation and safety procedures, and help deliver evidence-based care.

New staff receive training in behavior support and trauma-informed care, with a focus on positive relationships, teamwork, and a commitment to child-centered care and community safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior experience working with youth preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalency.
• A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of kids.

Responsibilities

• Participate in verbal de-escalation and safe physical intervention as needed.
• Work 8–10 hour weekend shifts in a fast-paced residential setting.
• Follow structured supervision and feedback to support youth.
• Engage youth in activities and promote a child-centered, team approach.
