Job summary

The Bristal in Armonk, NY is seeking a Resident Services Aide for Saturdays 7AM-3PM to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents.

You will assist with activities of daily living, escort residents to meals and activities, and support wellbeing under supervision of nursing staff.

This on-site, part-time role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and respect for the elderly, with a friendly presence that enhances daily life at our community.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide required.
• Experience with Alzheimer's disease/dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Geriatric population experience preferred, with ADLs assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Basic understanding of dementia; patient and professional in redirecting residents.
• Ability to adapt to different personalities and situations positively.
• Be reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents in achieving physical, emotional and psycho-social wellbeing.
• Assist in Wellness area to ensure safety and comfort.
• Follow policies and procedures and heed nurse shift supervisor and director of wellness.
