Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a Relief Cook to cover Saturdays and Sundays, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a scratch-based kitchen. You’ll craft meals that are safely cooked, visually appealing, and portioned to resident preferences, while building warm relationships with residents and staff.

In this weekend role, you’ll ensure high-quality dining and a welcoming atmosphere, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in meal service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Available Saturdays and Sundays, at least 8 hours per day.
• Read, speak and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Support service line during meals with attentive coverage.
• Complete opening and closing tasks for each shift; help teammates stay organized.
• Maintain stocked stations and monitor refrigeration for freshness and safety.
• Keep the kitchen sanitary by cleaning work areas and recording temperatures.
