Job summary

FirstService Residential in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a Housekeeper to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks across indoor/outdoor settings in a residential community. The role requires attention to safety and quality while following instructions.

You will inspect work, report discrepancies, handle supplies, and maintain a friendly, professional attitude; strong communication and multilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Uses new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains a friendly and professional attitude.
• Ensures adequate cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Follows security and safety procedures at all times.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Cleans restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, trash.
