Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state license as applicable.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• UR radiology credentials and clinic readiness required.
• May require MA competency for clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality competency across clinical and technical tasks.
• Ensure patient identification and proper exam preparation.
• Perform imaging exams per protocol; review image quality for accuracy.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Complete studies within time limits; assist students and other techs as needed.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient procedures and any adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding and QC programs.
