Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams, collaborate with radiologists and physicians, and ensure high-quality results. Strong patient-care skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 7:00 to 17:30; level I or II may be offered depending on qualifications and experience. A $3,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state license are required.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• MA Competency Checklist may be required and perform MA functions in clinic or InstaCare setting.
• IV certification—may not be required at all sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Understands and operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
