Job summary

The role requires ARRT registry, state licensure, and BLS, with the potential for weekend shift differential and a 36‑hour weekly schedule. Prior radiology experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved radiological training program.
• Current ARRT registry in radiologic technology.
• Current state license/certification in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist.
• Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.
• Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by ED and nursing units.
• Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following procedures.
• Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians.
• Maintain x-ray equipment and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Support department goals through effective teamwork.

Education

ARRT registry (Radiologic Technologist)

State license/certification in practice

Current BLS certification

1 year radiology experience (preferred)
