Job summary

The Mercy Health Lorain Hospital is seeking a Weekend Radiology Technologist for Diagnostic Imaging. This role performs radiographic procedures, ensures ALARA, and supports licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.

The position requires ARRT certification and BLS, with weekend shifts (Fri-Sun nights) and a 33% premium. As part of the diagnostic imaging team, you will obtain patient history, position for imaging, verify consent, document doses, and maintain

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required) and ARRT registry active.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• State licensure preferred where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and ensure documentation is available.
• Position patient to best demonstrate area of interest while ensuring comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment.
• Verify informed consent and document pre/post procedures.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and specialized radiography.
