Job summary

Mercy Lorain Hospital is seeking a Weekend Radiology Technologist for Diagnostic Imaging. The role involves providing high-quality radiographic services during nights on weekends, with a 33% pay premium for Saturday and Sunday shifts, and a schedule of 36 hours weekly (Fri, Sat, Sun).

The Radiologic Technologist will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, document procedures, and collaborate with licensed practitioners to deliver diagnostic imaging that supports patient care across

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified or eligible in Radiologic Technology.
• Attentive to radiation safety and patient protection.
• Competent in positioning and immobilizing patients.
• Able to document and communicate clearly with the care team.
• Familiar with EHRs and radiology information systems.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and verify orders.
• Position patients to best demonstrate anatomy of interest.
• Apply ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures with equipment.
• Verify consent and document pre/post procedures.
• Assist with fluoroscopy and contrast procedures as needed.
• Document patient dose exposures and results.
