Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. The role involves performing radiographic examinations, preparing and positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality images while following HIPAA and safety protocols.

The position requires ARRT R.T. (R) certification or registry eligibility, BLS within 30 days, and ability to work collaboratively with staff in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT R.T. (R) certification required or registry-eligible with ARRT within 12 months.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all facility healthcare professionals.
• Strong technical knowledge of radiography equipment, patient positioning, and diagnostic imaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Ensure proper operation of radiology equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Perform radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians with high-quality images meeting standards.
• Prepare and position patients using immobilization devices and set exposure factors.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during transport and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Administer contrast agents under Radiologist guidance and minimize exposure through radiation protection.
• Document patient care accurately in department records and address care-related problems.
• Maintain a clean, professional environment and pursue ongoing professional development.
