Job summary

PacAero in Agawam, MA is seeking a Weekend Shift QC Inspector (Machining) to inspect high-precision machined components used in aerospace applications. You will verify dimensions, tolerances and workmanship per drawings and GD&T, collaborating with Machining, Quality and Engineering to resolve issues.

The role demands experience with micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and inspection microscopes, plus a strong eye for detail and adherence to quality processes. Overtime and weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• 1–5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience inspecting precision CNC machined components strongly preferred.
• Experience inspecting electroplated components or working in a plating environment is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final visual, dimensional, and microscopic inspections of precision machined and plated components.
• Inspect parts to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and applicable customer requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gage pins, optical comparators, Visual CMMs, and inspection microscopes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify parts meet customer, engineering, dimensional, workmanship, and quality requirements.
• Identify and document nonconforming material and complete required quality documentation, including rework and nonconformance reports.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and manufacturing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
