Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking an LVN for the Acute Locked Psychiatric Unit in Corona, CA. The role requires weekend night shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 pm–7:30 am) and emphasizes nursing care for patients with serious and persistent mental illness.

You will report to the Nurse Manager and Director of Behavioral Health Services, employing nursing process to deliver quality care and may act as Relief Charge Nurse as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, terminology and medical record charting.
• Two years of experience working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, preferably inpatient.
• Assaultive Behavior Management Training within 90 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote, maintain and restore health of patients assigned to care using nursing process skills.
• Collaborate with the Charge Nurse and may function as Relief Charge Nurse as needed.
