Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and or a technical training certification from a vocational/ technical institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production environment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor.
• Be computer literate.
• Possess a demonstrated ability to understand the importance and value of working with others.
• Must be able to read and write English proficiently and accurately to completing required reports.

Responsibilities

• Safety is paramount on the production floor and supervisors ensure adherence to safe procedures and practices.
• Supervise all hourly employees during shifts across production, mold shop, maintenance, and warehouse as required.
• Report low inventory of supplies required for production to management.
• Prepare shift handover and 5S reports; ensure outgoing and incoming supervisors sign-off.
• Create and update shift assignment reports and distribute to relevant staff.
• Verify staff are relieved from previous shift.
• Motivate and develop associates to improve performance and teamwork.
• Participate in sample runs, new molds, and changes; promote lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Monitor machine output and efficiency; participate in cost controls and production reporting.
• Ensure all pumps and waters are properly set and functioning; confirm mold change procedures are followed.
