Job summary

LISI Aerospace in Torrance, CA seeks a Production Group Supervisor I to oversee and coordinate activities within their production group, ensuring cost‑effective manufacturing that meets product specifications, HSE and quality standards.

You will assign work, monitor throughput and OEE, lead LEAP projects (KANBAN, 5S) and coach team members to improve performance while enforcing safety policies and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering; preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 4 years of aerospace manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing Processes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production group operations to meet goals and deadlines.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance on the shop floor.
• Coordinate scheduling and workload with other supervisors and teams.
• Lead LEAP projects (e.g., PSM, CONWIP, KANBAN, 5S) to improve efficiency.
• Coach and evaluate staff performance and development.
