Haywood Vocational Opportunities Inc. is seeking a Production Assembler I for a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday). The role performs assembly tasks in a production setting, reading specs and instructions to build products, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The position requires teamwork, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to meet productivity targets in a fast-paced environment. The pay is hourly, with weekend hours from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read and do basic math functions.
• HS Diploma or GED or proven related work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Team-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Interact respectfully with individuals with disabilities and work well with teammates.
• Read product specifications, drawings and work instructions to perform tasks.
• Learn assembly steps and meet productivity rates on multiple products.
• Maintain accurate work records and ensure quality of assemblies.
• Keep work area clean, organized and in compliance with safety policies.
• Communicate issues promptly to leadership as needed.
