Job summary

Southern TN Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg is seeking an X-ray Technician for PRN weekend availability. You will perform imaging procedures, review orders, and educate patients about procedures and safety. The role requires ARRT radiography certification and a state license, with BLS from AHA.

New graduates are welcome; 6 months of radiology experience is preferred. A supportive team environment aims to deliver high-quality care in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Radiologic Technology program graduate required.
• Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Licenses: ARRT in Radiography required or registry eligible; must register within 6 months; State Medical X-Ray Operator License required.
• Work Experience: New Rad Tech graduates considered; 6 months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures according to scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Ensure safety standards and perform quality control on equipment; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Position patient and perform imaging; analyze results and address image quality issues.
