Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Melrose Park, IL is seeking an MRI Technologist (PRN). This onsite role covers Saturday 8:00 am–2:00 pm and Sunday 8:00 am–3:00 pm, with responsibilities across imaging procedures and patient safety.

You will maintain current knowledge of MR technology, perform quality control, assist with aseptic contrast injections, carefully position patients, document studies, and mentor new technologists, while delivering compassionate care and timely imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI certification program.
• ARRT/ARMRIT registered.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting.
• Proficient in running advanced MR studies independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of MR technology and assist in QC.
• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for implants.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain rooms and supplies.
• Administer aseptic injection technique for contrast.
• Position patients to obtain correct imaging.
• Document radiological services in patient charts.
• Provide education and direction to new technologists.
• Perform imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner and communicate with physician.
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
