Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist for PRN Saturday and Sunday shifts at our Melrose Park, IL location. The role focuses on safety, imaging quality, and patient comfort while performing MRI procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, pre-screening for implants, and accurate charting. Requires MRI certification, ARRT/ARMRIT registration, and CPR/BLS certification, with prior diagnostic radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI certification program.
• ARRT/ARMRIT registered.
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting.
• Proficiency running advanced MR studies independently.
• CPR- BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of MR technology and assist in quality control of equipment.
• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for implants and clearance research.
• Sterilize and maintain equipment; keep rooms clean and stocked.
• Administer aseptic injection technique for contrast.
• Position patients to obtain correct imaging and document data accurately.
• Provide education and direction to new technologists.
