Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at Oakbend Medical Center. We are currently recruiting a PRN Pharmacy Technician to work as needed covering vacation/PTO. Hours are Monday-Friday 7AM-10PM and weekends/holidays 8AM-4:30PM, primarily weekends.

The Technician II supports pharmacists in daily operations, prepares and fills prescriptions, handles inventory, and records activity to comply with regulations. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• State license/registration required for Pharmacy Technician.
• National certification required.
• IV certification required.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Purchasing/buying experience preferred.
• Flexibility in working schedule.
• Ability to work in a group.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks.
• Ability to multitask and use technology.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist as needed per state rules.
• Maintain a safe, clean pharmacy following procedures.
• Input patient data and prescription information into the system.
• Manage inventory, place orders, stock shelves, and remove expired items.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Adhere to applicable pharmacy laws and company guidelines.
