Urgent Dental Center & Family Dentistry in Lafayette, IN is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join a high-volume, fast-paced team. You will perform advanced EFDA duties, assist during complex procedures, and help deliver same-day comprehensive care to patients.

The ideal candidate has EFDA experience, strong clinical skills in restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures, and a patient-focused attitude.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Place permanent restorations utilizing your EFDA certification.
• Fabricate and adjust temporary restorations.
• Coronal polish and apply fluoride treatments.
• Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans.
• Assist during surgical, restorative, and endodontic procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
• Educate patients on treatment and post-operative instructions.
• Document procedures accurately in the clinical chart.
• Help maintain efficient patient flow from start to finish.
• Support same-day treatment conversions and comprehensive care.
