Job summary

IVI RMA GLOBAL in Basking Ridge, NJ is seeking a Weekend Phlebotomist to draw blood for infertility-related laboratory procedures. This position requires availability every Saturday and Sunday from 5:30am to 11:30am, with potential for additional hours as needed.

The phlebotomist will identify patients, perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, and ensure safety and compliance with OSHA/DEP. They will maintain a clean, stocked phlebotomy area and collaborate with clinical staff to

Qualifications

• 3+ years' recent venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
• Phlebotomy Program completion preferred or certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and perform venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Label, centrifuge, and transport/store specimens while maintaining sample integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; keep phlebotomy area clean and stocked.
• Reassure patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties while collecting specimens.

IVI RMA North America has a need for a Weekend Phlebotomist for our Basking Ridge, NJ location. This is for every Saturday and Sunday from 5:30am-11:30am.

This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients.

Essential Functions And Accountabilities

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• To store and transport specimen samples according to the different procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintains clean and stocked phlebotomy Area.
• Reassures patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.

Academic Training

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program– highly preferred ( required in CA, WA, TX).
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program

Position Requirements/Experience

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook - required
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required
