Shriner’s Children’s Portland is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to deliver weekend inpatient coverage for pediatric orthopedic and medically complex patients. The role requires independence after orientation and involves full clinical management, discharge planning, and family follow-up by phone.

Ideal candidates have AP/NP certification, unrestricted licenses, and relevant inpatient pediatric experience.

Formación

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license or NP license in the state of practice.
• Certification by the NCCPA or ANCC/AANP as applicable.
• Active DEA eligibility.
• PALS certification may be required based on assignment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide weekend inpatient coverage for pediatric patients with orthopedic and medically complex conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
• Manage inpatient care including medical management, discharge planning, and family communication.
• Develop individualized care plans with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Perform preoperative and postoperative evaluations and ongoing inpatient management.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging under licensure and hospital policies.
• Document all clinical decisions and patient responses in EHR.

Educación

Master of Physician Assistant Studies (or equivalent)

Nurse Practitioner MSN or DNP

Unrestricted license (PA or NP) in state of practice

NCCPA or ANCC/AANP board certification

RN and APRN license in state of practice
