Qualifications

• PA degree from an accredited program and PA license in the state of practice.
• Current, unrestricted PA license in the state of practice.
• CCPNA certification (NCCPA).
• MSN or DNP from an accredited NP program with board certification in pediatrics or family practice.
• Current, unrestricted RN and APRN licenses in the state of practice.
• Active DEA eligibility.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers valid.
• PALS certification may be required based on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend inpatient coverage for pediatric orthopedic and medically complex patients.
• Conduct age-appropriate assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement care plans with supervising physicians and care team.
• Perform pre/postoperative evaluations and ongoing inpatient management.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging per licensure and hospital policy.
• Prescribe medications and interventions within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, plans, and discharge needs.
• Document decisions and patient responses in the EHR.
