Shriners Children’s Portland is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide weekend coverage for the inpatient unit. This role requires approximately one 10-hour shift every three months, with anticipated coverage of one to two days per month. Shifts are typically scheduled six to eight weeks in advance and generally run from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The APP will provide comprehensive inpatient medical management for a daily census of approximately three to nine patients, including feeding advancement, pain management, discharge planning, and follow-up with patient families by phone. This is an inpatient-only position supporting medically complex pediatric orthopedic patients and requires the ability to work independently after a focused orientation period. Preferred candidates will have several years of relevant experience managing medically complex patients or inpatient populations, with pediatric orthopedic experience considered valuable. Orientation includes approximately 10 weekday shifts alongside an experienced provider, followed by two to three weekend shifts with provider support.
