Job summary

Shriners Children’s Portland is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to deliver weekend inpatient coverage for pediatric orthopedic and medically complex patients. The APP will assess, manage, and discharge patients, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team and families.

The role requires hours on weekends, with orientation and periodic weekend coverage scheduled in advance. Liscensure, certifications, and pediatric experience are preferred to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• PA/NP licensure requirements and national certification.
• Ability to manage medically complex inpatient pediatric patients.
• Experience in pediatric orthopedic or similar specialty preferred.
• Proficient in ordering/interpretation of lab tests and imaging.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend inpatient coverage for pediatric orthopedic/medically complex patients.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, histories, and exams.
• Develop care plans with multidisciplinary team and discharge planning.
• Document care and communicate with families and supervisors.
